I was very proud of my teams’ performance against PV. We came out intense and focused. We were able to execute on offense and man-up. Our defense played physical but in control. Our goalie stepped up and played extremely well. This was truly a total team effort against a very good Palos Verdes team. We practiced hard in the days leading up to PV. My guys used the first loss to PV as motivation and learned from that loss. We realized we needed to limit our turnovers, possess the ball, and eliminate the amount of penalties in order to win. Moving forward, I believe we can use this game as a template for what it takes to win in the playoffs against very good opponents. At the same time, if we want to go deep in the playoffs, we still need to learn and grow as a team from this win.
