Mark Haddad: Australian National Team: World Games 1982 at Johns Hopkins
Mark is the old timer of the group from Down-Under and the founder of laxratz.com and co-founder of laxratz-recruits.com along with Jared Little and Mark Cahak .He started playing lacrosse (age 14) when wooden sticks were the rage. Honing his skills throughout his adolescence he eventually went on to compete at the highest echelon of lacrosse representing Australia from 1980 to 1990 in the World Games. There he won silver and bronze medals. Mark’s coaching career spans over thirty years. This includes starting an entirely new lacrosse program from scratch (middle school, junior varsity, varsity) for a private school in Los Angeles. In 2006 he was the special adviser to the head coach of the Australian national team and remains part of the Australian effort to bring home their first men’s gold medal.
Prior to launching LaxRatz.com and energetically pursuing his first calling in life (lacrosse), Mark put in over a half decade worth of work for the Australian Embassy in Washington DC. Included in this was acting as a liaison between Australian and US politicians and Australian and US armed forces. To date, Mark has a successful real-estate investment company in Baltimore, MD, where he lived for 17 years before moving to California to become Program Head and head coach of Harvard-Westlake school.
Utilizing his business experience Mark enthusiastically takes care of all business related elements of LaxRatz.com. Furthermore he is the one who does 90% of lacrosse videography for LaxRatz.com including preliminary editing for Mark Cahak.Most important is that he is committed to the growth of lacrosse players and their pursuit of perfection and collegiate careers.
Mark lives in Playa Del Rey, Californiaon the beach with his laid back feel-good dog Mac and hangs out with bunch of other Aussies who are locals also. Dominic is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles. He has been creating images since 2005 and thrives on shooting live action.
He makes sure not to disturb the situation, but to observe and collect little moments. Dominic says, “One needs patience and skill to shoot sports photography.
